2026 NYC Flag Rugby Festival

Another year, another great NYC Flag Rugby Festival! We had an amazing day of rugby action, celebrating the accomplishments of all the young athletes who competed.

Across 12 teams, 134 athletes from our after-school enrichment programs congregated on Randall’s Island, showcasing their skills in front of friends and family. One player from each team was recognized for their embodiment of the Go Forward spirit. From scoring tries to cheering their teammates on relentlessly, these athletes embodied what it means to Play Rugby.

34 staff and volunteers made the event happen! From coaching teams to refereeing games to preparing lunches, it would be impossible to put on events like these without their help.

We also have to give thanks to the American Red Cross and NYC Parks for sharing their resources with our community! And as always, thank to MOTION PT Group for keeping our athletes safe and healthy throughout the event!
